Since I will be in AP Art next semester, we (the soon to be AP class) were assigned 5 projects over the summer which could consist of any medium, including digital photography with the exception of it having to be 2D Design, it could not be 3D Design. So, obviously I chose to use my passion for photography in these pieces. Each one of these photos I love for completely different reasons, yet they all tie in one specific element, the natural element of nature. While trying to photograph each piece I found it to be challenging to get the focus on my camera to the settings which I wished the photos to turn out to be. Ironic how I would take 20-50 or so shots of one scene yet only find one photo which met my expectations. For example, in the photo with the Bee on the flower, I found it extremely challenging to get my camera to be able to focus on the flower, along with the bee, before it flew off of the flower, luckily I was able to. Also, throughout the summer I was around many natural settings, my favorite photo out of all of these would have to be the nest. The nest photo was taken out of complete spontaneity, when I first saw the nest I was amazed, and even more so to be able to reach up high enough to photograph it (since I am so short, that alone was a challenge). Also, another favorite of mine would have to be the white/pink daisy photo, since the colors are so rich and vibrant. I also really enjoyed the leaf photo, since it was quite challenging to take a photo so low to the ground yet still maintain the foucs. For the summer assignment I was left with many different selections of nature amongst the thousands of pictures in my phone, and cannon. These five happen to be my favorite! I really enjoyed being able to use photography as my medium over the summer, photography is my passion, hopefully something you can see in these photos. Enjoy!
